Specifications : ASTM A182 & ASME SA182
Standard : ASME 16.11, MSS SP-79, 83, 95, 97, BS 3799
Size : 1/8” NB to 4” NB (Socketweld & Screwed-Threaded)
Class : 2000 LBS, 3000 LBS, 6000 LBS, 9000 LBS
Type : Socketweld Fittings, Screwed-Threaded Fittings
Stainless Steel 904L forged fittings consist of about 19–23% chromium, 23–28% nickel, 4–5% molybdenum, and traces of copper and low carbon (up to 0.02%). This alloy provides superb resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking in the presence of sulfuric, phosphoric, and acetic acids. These fittings possess a tensile strength of approximately 490 MPa and yield strength of 220 MPa. Forging enhances the grain structure and mechanical strength, rendering them suitable for high-pressure and corrosive systems that demand both toughness and dimension accuracy.

Stainless Steel 904L forged fittings find extensive applications in process industries that require superior corrosion resistance and long-term performance. In chemical and fertilizer plants, they are best suited for processing highly corrosive acids and aggressive media. In marine and offshore environments, they are resistant to chloride-rich and saltwater environments. The drug and food processing industries appreciate them due to their purity and lack of contaminability. They are also employed in seawater cooling systems, heat exchangers, and pulp and paper mills. 904L forged fittings, with their strength, reliability, and corrosion resistance, are the preferred choice for harsh environments.
