Super Duplex Steel forged fittings are generally produced from alloys such as UNS S32750 or UNS S32760, which consist of around 25% chromium, 7% nickel, 3–4% molybdenum, and nitrogen. These aspects offer excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. Forged fittings provide improved strength with tensile strength of the order 800–1000 MPa and yield strength of about 550 MPa. The duplex microstructure (austenite and ferrite) enhances toughness and resistance to fatigue. Refining of the grain structure by the forging process provides improved mechanical integrity and renders these fittings suitable for high-stress, high-pressure, and corrosive conditions.
