Super Duplex Steel buttweld fittings are fabricated using high-alloy stainless steels like UNS S32750 and UNS S32760 with around 25% of chromium, 7% of nickel, 3–4% of molybdenum, and nitrogen. These features provide the material very good resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking. The fittings possess a duplex microstructure (ferrite and austenite), improving mechanical properties like tensile strength (800–1000 MPa) and yield strength (approximately 550 MPa).
