Monel K500 pipe fittings are a particular type of Monel alloy that unites Monel’s superior corrosion resistance with greater strength and hardness by the presence of aluminum and titanium. Made up mostly of 63% nickel and 30% copper, Monel K500 also carries minute quantities of aluminum (2.3% maximum) and titanium (0.35% maximum). This special blend of ingredients provides not only superior corrosion resistance but also enhanced mechanical properties such as greater tensile strength and increased wear resistance than Monel alloy.
